Player Character History:

  • 1345 B.C.E.: Faelonia was born in the village of Ruthorp, in the northern reaches of the Kingdom of Zuromm, in the foothills of the Ivory Mountains. She was the third child in an upper middle class family of Drow (western Dark Elves). She was raised as a wilderness scout by the Wolf Clan and adopted her companion, Facon, as a cub.
  • 1244: Faelonia turned from the worship of the evil Lloth, the demon queen of spiders, and fled hunters of her own kind. While stumbling into the siege of the Dwarven town of Barof, she met her lifelong friends, bumbling Dwarf Cleric Bert (actually Crown Prince Bertrand of Doru, later Zorch/King Bertrand I) and the dangerous Shengtese (Oriental) human Ninja “Ke Tan Ito” [Bill A.R.].
  • 1243 to 1239 [1987 to 1991]: Faelonia participated in the War of the Five Kingdoms, when the Drow of Zuromm and Nannuattan (eastern Dark Elves) of Gokuri led Orcs and Oni against the Waletku Kingdom of the Elves, the Zeda Kingdom of the Dwarves and Gnomes, and later, the (proto-Western European) human Kingdom of Hifalendor.

The exiled Dark Elf’s first adventuring party included stalwarts such as flirtatious Shengtese human Monk “Hun See Quan” [Louis S.], brash High Elf holy warrior “Rellim Dorathan” [Mark M.], and Sylvan Elf Wizard “C. Sylvestris B.M.R.” [Woody C.].

Later parties included intrepid Halfling Rogue “Tunnel Brassbuckle” [Stuart C.G.], devious Saganim (proto-Celtic) human Conjurer “Skavar/Keran Ravics” [Alex R.], brave Hifalendorin human Invoker “Taulbert Haathgar” [Josh W.], stolid River Dwarf Fighter/Cleric “Bain” [Ron J.K.], and fun-loving Faun Bard “Kaleva” [Cheryl L.I.L.].

Faelonia and company went on many great quests, including: Walk from Evesboro; Labyrinths of Memir 2; city of Alfendi in the Waletku Forest; Nadwi Thieves’ Guild; Elven and Dwarven artifact hunts; Silgath, the Ivory Mountains, and the North; Ravenloft; Into the Underdark; Dragonflight 1 and 2; the Eastern Front; and “Chaos Wars” battles. She fought evil Sorcerers and warlords, including Dark Elven matrons Balesta and Katessa.

In the course of her travels, Faelonia earned the respect of many Dwarves and Elves, eventually becoming an ambassador. She joined the Talcontar family of Grey Elf Ranger “General Aldarion” [Gene D.] and Nannuattan Fighter “Thalissa” [John Z.G.], and revived the Mountain Ranger Guild. Faelonia was briefly entrusted with a Greater Orb by Elf Ranger “Kelan Elgoral” [David I.S.] in 1244. She also became a leader in the small community of Dark Elf defectors.

Faelonia fell in love with and eventually married Grey Elf Rogue Shea [Peter G.L.J.D.], a Grey Elf Acrobat and another Heart Bow wielder. Faelonia withdrew from worldly affairs into her stronghold in Pugil because of her pregnancy in 1240.

  • 1239 to 1238: Faelonia served as mentor to other adventuring parties, including the “Children of the Elder Gods” [parties of the New York Public Interest Research Group Inc. chapter at Queens College of the City University of New York; 1990 to 1991, real-time].
  • 1235 to 1233: The “Paragon” adventured [AD&D2 parties in Northern Virginia; 1993 to 1996, real-time]. “Balaim Bearclaw” [John J.G.], a male Dwarf Ranger/Druid, trained under Faelonia.
  • 1232: In autumn of 1232 [Boston, 2003], “King Ereval I” [Steve A.L.] of the Waletku kingdom asked Lady Faelonia to visit his southern ally, King Akkon XII of Hifalendor, and to investigate rumors of Zuromm activity on the distant Sea of Nagendwa. Faelonia and Shea soon learned of various intrigues [see “Liberators” notes], as well as the growth of the dreaded ghost fleet.
  • 1231: In March (2004), the couple accompanied the privateers known as “the Dragonslayers” aboard their carrack, the “Dragon’s Bane,” to visit the Sea Elves of Oceanis and seek a renewed alliance. There, they met Lady Dalesta, a competing Drow ambassador from the nefarious Kingdom of Zuromm.

While the Thallasaquendi of the Kelp Kingdom agreed to a naval alliance with Hifalendor against the Undead pirates, they rejected Waletku and Zuromm’s petitions. Faelonia and Shea later met with “Ibrahim al-Sufaia” [Byron V.O.], a Suthern [proto-Arabic] human Paladin of Ishmas, matron of magic [Egyptian: Isis], who accompanied them back to Hesolin and then to Alfhileno for training and research.

From there, she flew on borrowed royal griffons to the remote outpost of Silgath, where she regrouped with Tunnel, Rellim, and Shea, as well as with haughty Avariel (winged Elf) Fighter “Semaia D’Issichar” [Karen M.L.] and Ibrahim, before heading to “the Paragon’s” stronghold of Morbaltek and continuing the search for the missing metallic dragon allies of the Waletku Kingdom…

After helping Tunnel and members of “the Liberators” and “Dragonslayers” destroy the dreaded Flying Citadel of the Nannuattan, Faelonia prepared to return the Bracers of Air Control to the lost city of Tel Silat in the Halmed Desert and to accompany Ibrahim to the distant empire of Khemet [New Kingdom Egypt].

Former members of the “Dragonslayers” also explored Eagle’s Rest, founde the Gargoyle Headlands and a monastery/dojo, and slayed the Undead gold dragon Daneira in the port of Gisar.

  • 1230 B.C.E.: “Mystical Harmony/the Seekers of Lore” fight monsters on the Plains of Sathendo before adventuring through time [2005 to 2006]. The “Broken Chains” wander the Halmed Desert and take control of Emein Island as Goblinoids migrate from Zuromm to the Garku Nasit. “Holy Steel” sets out for the distant empire of Khemet (New Kingdom Egypt) [2007 to 2008]. The exploits of Theseus.
  • 1229: The “Faith-Based Initiative” retrieves three relics for the barbaric Gusorin Confederation [TT, D&D4e, 2009]. Gokuri takes control of Tekugi. Ibrahim successfully completes his quest, but Faelonia is kidnapped from the court of Pharaoh Ramses II Pathfinder, 2010].
  • 1228: The “Uncommon Companions” wander the borderlands between Hifalendor and the Waletku kingdom, encountering the followers of the mysterious Vappu Lahja. Members of the “Broken Chains” reunite, and “Holy Steel” travels the outer planes to rescue Faelonia [FATE 3e Legends of Anglerre, 2011 to 2012]. “Vistel’s Circus” travels across the kingdom of Saganim, and some members strike out on their own to fight corruption and monsters [ Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game, 2012 to 2015].
  • 1227: As the latest wars wind down in the east, a team is tasked with helping to restore order while covertly monitoring various enemies [“A New Dawn,” 2013 to 2015]. Mercenaries in the “Storm Riders” and the “Shadow Wyvern Company” act as scouts as “Capt. Jack Kildare’s” [Randy K.M.] Ghost Fleet grows [EH/RBR, D&D5e, 2015-2016].
  • 1226 B.C.E.: The “Talons of Tanis” defend Khemet and Pharaoh Ramses II from the cult of “Forgotten/Sky Pharaoh” Hakahotep [WTWH, Party 43, D&D5e “Journey From Khemet: Talons of Tanis,” 2018-present] “Holy Steel” addresses the “War of Skulls” in the “Vanished Lands”….
