Bio/backstory (include family/training, allegiances):

  • Family/mentors: Brendan is the youngest of three sons of Aiden and Emma Quinn, leatherworkers in the city of Thadenis. Unlike his older brothers Ian and Cunmor, Brendan isn’t burdened by a work ethic or too many scruples. Early on, he showed an aptitude for petty street crime, and Durgin, a well-rounded member of the local thieves’ guild, soon took him under his wing. Brendan still spends some time with his exasperated family, but he’s often found lurking about the city’s markets looking for easy marks.
  • Motivations: While Brendan may be boastful and a bit of a kleptomaniac, he’s also sympathetic to the suffering of the poor. Thus, he’s a regular visitor to the temple of Ulandt, lady of rest (and Rogues), and Brijitt, goddess of fire and poetry. It’s through these temples that he learned of the cultists of Krakas gathering in the sewers, and when onetime members of Vistel’s Circus asked for aid, he was happy to lend his skills and began to explore the wider world.

When Modron Paladin “Radius” realized that his onetime traveling companions had ventured through time and space (to rescue slaves from Brazil), he picked up Brendan on the way, for reasons known only to himself….
